Nasco Blood Pressure Simulator

A simulator for teaching physical assessment, this Blood Pressure Simulator helps resolve the uncertainties common in teaching students to take blood pressure. This lifelike simulator allows the presetting of values for both systolic and diastolic pressures.

With this realistic unit, the student can find the preset results and the instructor can unfailingly know if the student has performed the procedure accurately. The electronically generated sounds are digitally recorded from MEDCOM/TRIANEX videotapes. Any combination of systolic and diastolic pressures can be dialed into the control unit, and the instructor can control the pulse rate and volume level. An ausculatory gap can be added if desired.

The electronic control unit also features a manual calibration button that allows the unit to be used with any type of sphygmomanometer other than the sphygmomanometer provided with the simulator. An optional speaker system allows the simulator to be used and easily heard during group presentations. Includes the Life/Form Arm Replica, electronic control unit with four AA batteries, instruction booklet, and hard carrying case. The simulator does not include a stethoscope.
